What is grass paper? A natural product consisting of 30% grass fibre and 70% fresh fibre. And where does it come from? It is sourced from so-called balancing surfaces. These are areas that cannot be managed but due to newly built roads or facilities in cities need to be compensated. What is so great about grass paper? No habitats are destroyed - no clearing of forests. The paper consists of up to 50% sun-dried grass. What is our grass paper made of? It is made from 100% natural fabrics and can be completely processed without chemicals. Only a minimum of energy and water is required to produce the grass paper. It is completely free from mineral oil and any harmful substances and is made without bleach or artificial colouring. What else is important to know? Grass as a new, innovative raw material brings many advantages for the production of paper and cardboards: energy savings over 90% and the CO² reduction by 75% and also no chemicals in raw material production.
