Working Principle Insert the Plant Waterer into the soil, and the soil will gradually absorb water from the bottle. As the internal air pressure of the bottle drops, the water outlet will stop flowing. Once the pressure inside the bottle is lower than the outside air pressure, air will flow into the bottle through the vent hole. The air pressure balances again, and water starts to flow out continuously. The cycle repeats to keep your plants watered automatically. Easy to Use Punch holes on the top of the Plant Waterer with the attached pushpin. Twist and secure the spike onto a standard screw-top bottle. Stick the pointed end deep into the plant soil. Water will slowly seep to the roots for steady irrigation. Important Notes Designed for bottles with a 27mm caliber. If the bottle mouth is too large, seal it with tape or glue for a tight fit. Do not cut or trim the spike tip. Wider distance between the two holes means faster water flow. Avoid punching too many holes, or all water will run out quickly. The spikes come without pre-drilled holes; you need to make holes by yourself. Normally, one set can supply water for around 4 days.
