SBR Bonding Agent & Admixture An interior/exterior bonding and waterproofing aid, sealer, and primer. Designed to improve water, chemical, and abrasion resistance, as well as flexibility, plasticity, and durability. Ideal for strengthening renders, floor screeds, concrete, and patching mortars. Unlike PVA, SBR is suitable for use in areas subject to dampness, high humidity, and continuous water contact. Key Benefits Enhanced Durability: Improves water, chemical, and abrasion resistance. Application & Mixing Guide Bonding Slurry (for screeds, toppings, renders, and coatings) Mix 1–2 parts by volume of fresh cement with 1 part by volume of SBR. Apply evenly to the surface, and apply the screed, topping, render, or coating while the slurry is still wet or tacky. Additive for Render Prime the surface first. Use 5–7 liters of SBR, 75kg of sharp washed sand, and 25kg of cement. Apply the first render mix to a minimum thickness of 7mm. Scratch the surface and leave to set before applying a second coat of similar thickness. Admixture (for floor toppings and screeds) Add 5–7 liters of SBR per 25kg of cement. Apply the topping or screed to a minimum thickness of 12mm. Water Resistant Primer Dilute 1 part SBR with 3 parts water and apply directly to the surface. Storage & Limitations Limitations:Not suitable for use with coloured exterior decorative renders. Do not over-mix. Dispose of product and packaging correctly. Shelf Life:12 months from the date of manufacture. Storage Conditions:Store in cool, dry conditions (between 5°C and 25°C) away from direct sunlight. Protect from frost.
