In 1964-1966 the best engine was a 4.1 L V8, but in ???67 and ???68 they offered the famous 7.0 L V8 Cobra Jet. In this same year, the GT was popularised with Steve McQueen???s Bullitt, a ???68 Mustang GT Fastback. The ???68 Mustang GT was capable of 335 brake horsepower and had a brand new grille style.
