• The Lunn’s Houghton Ruby an imitation of the female iron-blue spinner, one of the trout's most favourite meals. The ruby in truth was William’s second attempt at copying a spent iron-blue. His first attempt, christened Lunn’s fancy, while liked greatly was replaced in 1917 by the better Houghton Ruby. It is a fine example of what makes Lunn’s flies so special, sitting as it does in the upper film of the water with it’s broad wings laid out defining the shape of the natural perfectly from the trout’s view-point.
• Lunns Particular, developed of course by the famous William Lunn who was the keeper on the river Test 1887 - 1932. He did a range of patterns on the dry flies, the Lunns Particular still fishes well in Rivers and Chalk streams all over the world
• Spinner trout flies are when the adult flies have mated, layed their eggs and died. Harry Powell, a barber from the Usk valley, was well know fly tier in the 1920's who created this pattern, an excellent dry fly that has taken many trout in each of the 80 plus seasons.The spinner dry flies are in a choice of colours and sizes.
