100 Climbing Hops Seeds - Humulus lupulus Hops is an annual and vigorous climbing liana. Decorative and original in the garden, you will love the lobed shape of its leaves and the multitude of its small fragrant cones that appear in summer on female plants. In France, hops are grown in northern France, Flanders and Alsace where it is used to give bitterness to beer. There are female plants and male plants. Male plants carry flowers in the form of small panicles and females of small fragrant cones that appear in summer. Dried, they go into the manufacture of beer. Hops is also a beautiful ornamental plant of easy cultivation. Hops should be planted at sunny or half-shade exposure. Plant it in rich, deep, well-drained soil.
