• After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast. All the moulds are handcarved, he applies the colours manually and the glass is slumped over the mould in a kiln at temperatures over 800C and annealed to ensure strength and durability

This glass bowl illustrates the seaside using low relief and colours to accentuate the motion of the waves and create pebbles on the beach with the sea in turquoise. This little dish can be used for rings on a bedside table, for keys or for a tea light or anything else.
