The shock arrestors are designed to absorb pressure surges within water or other fluids where they are suddenly stopped or forced into other directions by fast closing valves. The shock arrestor has been specifically designed for hydraulic hammer arresting applications. The Shock Arrestor has a high grade butyl diaphragm which is sealed within the vessel creating a barrier between fluid and a compressible air chamber. The shock arrestor is best used at the point of shock and should be installed close to the valve or piping where the shock originates from.
